Jack Fender – New Leaf Haven Homes

My name is Jack Fender, and I am proud to be the Registered Manager at New Leaf Haven Homes.

My 15+ year career within health and social care has been driven by a genuine passion for supporting adults with autism and learning disabilities to live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Throughout my experience working within residential and supported living services, I have seen how the right environment, understanding and consistency can make a significant and lasting difference to an individual’s wellbeing, confidence and independence.

I strongly believe that good support begins with truly understanding the individual. Every person has their own strengths, preferences and aspirations, and my approach is centred on creating an environment where people feel safe, respected and valued for who they are. At New Leaf Haven Homes, my priority is to ensure individuals are supported in a way that promotes independence, emotional wellbeing and confidence while maintaining dignity, choice and control within their daily lives.

As a leader, I am committed to fostering a positive and supportive culture within the home. I work closely with our directors and staff team to ensure support is delivered consistently and compassionately, using Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support approaches that enable individuals to participate meaningfully in everyday life and develop skills at their own pace.

I recognise how important reassurance and trust are for families and professionals when choosing a residential service. I believe in open communication, partnership working and transparency, ensuring that everyone involved feels confident that individuals living at New Leaf Haven Homes are safe, supported and truly at home.

Outside of my professional role, I value spending time with family and maintaining a healthy work–life balance. I believe this helps me bring patience, understanding and positivity into my leadership and daily practice, ensuring the home remains a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for everyone who lives and works here.

My vision is for New Leaf Haven Homes to be more than a residential service — a place where individuals experience stability, develop independence at their own pace, and feel a genuine sense of belonging within their home and community
